NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY FIELD TRIP TO MOUNT HARRISON,
SATURDAY, AUGUST 5, 10 AM
On Saturday, August 5, Sawabi, a chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society, invites you and your friends on a field trip to Mount Harrison. Mount Harrison, at 9,265 feet, is our highest plant walk and sports blooms of penstemon and a rare paintbrush late into the summer. A stop at nearby Lake Cleveland may also provide a few treasures. Walking will be on uneven ground but otherwise it will be easy. Mountain weather can be fickle, so watch the forecast. Bring a lunch.
To carpool and caravan: Meet at 10:00 AM by the Bison Sculpture in the big parking lot (5th and Dillon) located on the lower campus of Idaho State University.
For questions, call Leader Paul Allen at 241-5265.
