The Idaho Native Plant Society is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting interest in native plants and plant communities, and collecting and sharing information on all phases of the botany of native plants in Idaho. We seek to foster an understanding and appreciation of our native flora and to preserve this rich heritage for future generations.

April is Idaho Native Plant Month
Annual Meeting (Farragut State Park) (Fri., June 14- Mon., June 17) The 2024 annual meeting will be in northern Idaho at Farragut State Park. More information can be found on the Annual Meeting page.
There are two ways for you to register for the INPS Annual Meeting/Campout. You can either complete the online registration form or print out the mail-in registration form.
The Idaho Botanical Foray is a plant collecting trip that meets annually during the summer. Hosting rotates among the state’s 4 largest academic herbaria. This year will be a botanical adventure to the Malad area from June 20th-23rd. You can learn more by visiting this Facebook page.
Education Research Inventory Grant (Due Date: March 15, 2024) Applicants are encouraged to submit a proposal describing a project, the way it benefits Idaho native plants and habitats, and how funds would be used to benefit. ERIG
Celebrating that our INPS Instagram reached a 1,000 followers in August 2023!
We our grateful to have a committee that manages content for our Instagram account. However, we would like to encourage our members to share photos, so that our Instagram can showcase a vast array of incredible botanical findings across our state.
To contribute photos to the INPS Instagram, please send an email to inpssocialmedia@gmail.com. Please include your name for photo credit, a description of the photo content , and a caption (optional). Photos of plants, landscapes, insects, pollinators, wildlife, and plant people are great to submit. Make sure to follow, like, and share our INPS Instagram and watch it grow!
