Upper Snake Plant Walk, July 7

We are holding a guided walk on Buckskin Morgan Ridge above the Kelly Canyon Ski Resort near Ririe, ID on Sunday July 7, 2019! We will be walking on an intermediate trail that winds underneath large Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii ) forest canopy with Rocky Mountain Maples (Acer glabrum) and Chokecherry (Prunus virginiana) bushes with and understory dotted with spring coralroot (Corallorhiza wisteriana), an orchid; plus violets, arnica, strawberries, and saxifrages. 
Carpool will leave from the North Tourist Park parking lot at 7:45 am (850 Lincoln Rd, Idaho Falls, ID 83401). 
The Guided Plant Walk will begin at 8:30 am in the Buckskin Morgan Ridge parking area.

North Tourist Park (Native American Statue) @ 7:45 am

850 Lincoln Rd, Idaho Falls, ID 83401

1) Follow Lincoln Rd and N Woodruff Ave to US-26 E ( Estimated Time and distance: 3 min;1.2 mi)

2) Turn right onto US-26 E (Estimated Time and distance:17 min; 16.5 mi)

3) Continue on N 160 E. Take E Heise Rd and Kelly Canyon Rd to FS Road 218 1 Rd in Madison County ( Estimated Time and distance:20 min 9.8 mi)
