Saturday, April 14, 2018. 9:30 am until about 3 pm. White Pine Chapter Field Trip.
Nisqually John HMU
For those who need a ride from Pullman or don’t know how to get to Wawawai Landing, we will meet in Pullman at Dissmore’s parking lot at 9:30 am. For those who know how to get to Wawawai Landing (not the park) at the bottom of the grade, meet at the Wawawai landing at 10:00 am for a restroom break and to arrange carpooling. Please wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots and bring water and lunch. We will travel to Nisqually John Habitat Management Unit from the landing and spend several hours looking at native bunchgrass and riparian habitat as well as invasive species in these habitats. If you are a birder, bring binoculars because rock wrens, canyon wrens and sparrows should be singing. Remember suncreen, hats. Long pants are recommended.
