SEEDS—those great little packages that native plants provide to our world. We are asking all members and friends who grow Idaho native seeds in their own gardens, to share them at our December seed exchange. Special note: Thad Davis will bring seeds of many of his species! If you want a few seeds, come and see what is available. If you have seeds to share, please bring them. We will have descriptions + photos from our Plant Sales, to help you visualize the plants’ appearance and needs. Small envelopes will be provided for the seeds you select, or you are welcome to bring your own.
This exchange is planned for native seeds, not horticultural varieties or seeds you may have gotten in a wildflower mix, which are often eastern U.S. seeds. Some wildflower mixes contain seeds from other continents, that have become troublesome weeds here!
Please be sure your seeds are
Dry (damp seeds will spoil)
Weed free
Free of chaff
Free of insects
