Date:  Tuesday, May 6, 2025

Time:  6 – 8 pm

Place:  Eagle Rock and the Quarry trail, Boise. Meet at the Old Penitentiary trailhead, located behind the Bishop’s House (2420 E. Old Penitentiary Road) adjacent to the Old Penitentiary. There is a large parking lot and a restroom at the trailhead.

Considerations:  The loop trail includes moderately steep uphill and downhill sections. Loose rocks and uneven ground are present on parts of the downhill portion, so trekking poles will be helpful for some people. Bring a hand lens if you have one.

Botany:  The field trip will allow us see >20 foothill spring wildflower species. Many of them, including the arrowleaf balsamroot  will soon be fading as the days get warmer. and warmer.  Join us for a bit of exercise and botany.
