Please join your INPS Pahove friends for our “first-ever” evening walk on the Lucky Peak Nature Trail.
We will be touring the nursery and greenhouses too.
Long time Lucky Peak Nursery (LPN) volunteer and Pahove member Howard Little will lead the adventure along with Kelly DeMasters, LPN Program Specialist.
Lucky Peak nursery began in 1959 growing trees to replant in logging areas. But as wildfires became more widespread, the plants have been going to area that are badly burned. It is one of six forest service nurseries in the country in charge of growing plants for forests and other areas hit by natural disasters, sometimes growing as many as 1.5 million trees.
