ISLE ROYALE:
Superior Wilderness

Isle Royale National Park is a remote island cluster in Lake Superior,
near Michigan’s border with Canada. With rich and diverse
populations of native plants, it’s a car-free wilderness of forests,
lakes and waterways, where moose and wolves roam!
As the recipients of Pahove’s Education and Enrichment Award,
JoAnne attended a botany workshop on the island last fall.
She will take us on a journey to explore the natural history
and unique ecology of Isle Royale National Park.
